Lansdowne Commuter Rail Station

MBTA Lansdowne Commuter Rail Station

The New MBTA Lansdowne Station is a stand-alone Commuter Rail station next to Fenway Park and the Longwood Medical Area. Meredith was designated by the MBTA to develop and construct a $15 million state-funded, full-service Commuter Rail station and multimodal center with direct access to South Station to the East and Framingham and Worcester to the West.

The Station is one block from the newly designed MBTA Green Line and Bus Station, a $32 million renovation project, and MBTA’s Kenmore Square and Fenway stations. Lansdowne Station commenced operation in 2014. Currently, the line features over 40 stops (compared to the original 17) at Lansdowne Station per day, significantly improving the level of service and convenience to commuters, area residents, and Boston Red Sox fans.
